Last week one of my favorite bands was playing in one of my favorite cities in the UK, Brighton. Do you think I could ever stay home and miss the opportunity to kill two birds with one stone? Oh no, that wouldn't be me.
I planned this trip over night, as soon as my friend Serena told me she had the day off.
I lived with her for a while in the past, which means she was forced to listen to Boyce Avenue all the time. She ended up loving them too so this was the perfect time to take her with me to finally see them in concert.

Weather wise we've been pretty lucky and we managed to not freeze our heads off while taking pictures by the seaside.
In the early afternoon we met up with Jem, an Aussie friend of mine who traveled all the way from Australia to see Boyce Avenue too, and we had a cheeky Italian lunch.
Those pizzas were surprisingly delicious and we only paid £8 each, beer included! I can't remember the name of the place but it's a small cafe' close to the coach station, in front of the Pier.
According to the lady at our hotel's reception, we were supposed to be 20 minutes away from the venue but we ended up walking for almost an hour. Luckily we had full bellies to keep us going but I'm too old for this stuff anyways. :P

Me, Serena and Jem all had VIP passes so we met the guys before the show and got our spots front row. We all know by now that there's no way I go to see my fav bands and stay in the back, right?
The opening acts were slightly different from the gig I attended in Milan, a few weeks before.
There was no more Hannah Trigwell but another pretty girl instead: Ebony Day.
I heard about her before but I actually never followed her music on youtube that much. She is such a sweet and funny girl. I fell in love with two of her originals, "Good Thing Gone Wrong" and "Gone". If you're into break up songs or sad ones, you'll like them too. She also has an EP out called "The Beginning", don't forget to check it out.
Second act was, again, the super crazy talented Nick Howard.
I told you a bit about him in my previous post about Boyce Avenue's gig in Italy and you can read it -here-. As I mentioned there, he's so loved by everybody, in fact there were also fans from Germany and France, come all the way to Brighton to see him!
I appreciated his songs a lot more this time and I can now pick two favorites: "Super Love", a hell of a catchy song and "Falling For You", a very romantic one.
The only bad thing about this guy? He moves too much on stage and I can never take good pics of him. haha JK!
I was so excited to hear the new songs again, they truly sound amazing live and without having the new EP out yet, that's the only chance to listen to some of it.
One of their new tunes is called "Speed Limit" and it is the intro for every gig of this European tour.
They performed lots of originals including "Find Me", "Briane", "On My Way", "One Life" and some covers as usual. I was really happy to see that the setlist was a bit longer than Milan's one, they added their song "Change Your Mind" and a cover of "Because Of You" by Ne-Yo.
I'm one of those people that spend the entire gig singing and dancing like crazy and I found the Brighton crowd to be a little sleepy on that note but it certainly was a great concert indeed. And the venue guys, a kick-ass venue, a freaking holy-awesome church!
The gig ended with everybody jumping up and down during the last chorus of "Every Breath" which is the part I always look forward to. If you've ever come across one of their live performances of this song, you'll know what I mean.

Me and Serena took so many photos and it's been hard to choose only a few, to put up online, but here down below you can see some of my fav ones.
Looking at the pics made me realize I haven't mentioned that these guys like to go a little crazy during "I'll Be The One". Do you see Fabian up there? ha! :)
We met Nick Howard after the show and I discovered his my brother from another mother, I mean, look at the silly selfie we took!
We also met the Manzano brothers again and had a little chat with them. It's incredible how these guys always find time for their fans, after every single show.
I genuinely feel lucky to have been able to meet them quiet a few times during the past 12 months. It's nice to get to know a tiny bit of those people you always listen to on an ipod or watch on a computer screen, especially when they are such talented and down to earth lads like these three men.
PS: I look so tiny next to them, can I be adopted as their little sister? :)
Around midnight, it was time to have another not-so-nice 45 minutes walk. On the way back, we stopped to get burgers and fries, almost had a car accident and found out there was a dance night downstairs at our hotel. We decided to continue the night and have a few drinks together. We also got photo-bombed hard by a drunk lady and.. that's it, I promise.
We slept a few hours only and after a quick breakfast we had to say goodbye to Brighton. I fell in love with this city even more so, I know myself, I will be definitely moving there sooner or later.
Me and Serena caught a bus to London while Jem got on a train with destination Bristol.
Useless to say, we had the best time. I miss this 'tour life' and my Aussie friend already. Hopefully it won't be too long until I will be reunited with all these awesome people again.
I guess this is it for now, thanks for reading about this other silly adventure of mine!
love y'all :)
